If you’re a Clinical Negligence Solicitor looking for more than just another caseload, this is an opportunity to join a firm where you’ll have a genuine voice in the future of the department.

As part of a growing Clinical Negligence team, you’ll manage a varied caseload of around 30–40 medical negligence matters, supporting clients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. From the first instruction through to resolution, you’ll build trusted client relationships while delivering high-quality legal advice with empathy and professionalism.

This is a team with ambitious plans for growth, giving you the chance to contribute beyond your day-to-day caseload. Whether it’s helping develop the department, getting involved in marketing initiatives or sharing ideas with colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the practice while continuing to develop your own career.

Who we’re looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in Clinical Negligence
  • Candidates with a strong interest in Clinical Negligence and transferable litigation experience will also be considered
  • Strong client care skills with an empathetic and professional approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Commercially aware with an interest in helping grow the department
  • Collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Experience using case management systems (desirable)


What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload of Clinical Negligence matters from instruction through to resolution
  • Advising clients on medical negligence claims and their legal options
  • Drafting claims, witness statements, expert reports and legal documentation
  • Building strong relationships with clients while delivering exceptional levels of care
  • Liaising with medical experts, counsel and other professionals
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and best practice
