Commercial Property Solicitor
- £50,000–£60,000, with flexibility for more experienced candidates
- High-quality, varied work within an established, partner-led property team
- Excellent staff retention, hybrid working and plenty of opportunity to develop
Are you a Commercial Property Solicitor looking for quality work, experienced colleagues and a firm where people genuinely build long-term careers?
This well-established Shrewsbury firm is looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor as it plans ahead for the retirement of an existing lawyer. The team has an excellent local reputation and a consistent flow of good-quality work, so you’ll inherit established matters rather than needing to build a caseload from scratch.
You’ll join a highly experienced, partner-led team where senior lawyers remain hands-on with client work. Several members have been with the firm for 10–25+ years, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced specialists while developing greater autonomy.
The firm has also recently moved into a new purpose-built office and is looking to continue growing the department, with scope to bring in and develop more junior talent over time.
Who we’re looking for
- Commercial Property Solicitor with around 3–5 years’ PQE (E)
- Broader PQE levels considered for the right person (D)
- Broad Commercial Property experience (E)
- Ability to manage matters with a good degree of autonomy (E)
- Strong technical and client management skills (E)
- Collaborative, team-focused approach (E)
- Commercial awareness and willingness to support BD (E)
- Acquisitions and plot sales experience advantageous (D)
The firm is particularly interested in someone with a broad skillset who hasn’t specialised too narrowly early in their career.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a varied Commercial Property caseload
- Taking ownership of matters with Partner support
- Working alongside experienced Partners and Directors
- Supporting acquisitions and plot sales where appropriate
- Advising an established client base
- Delivering high-quality client service
- Contributing to business development
- Supporting the department’s continued growth
Salary & Benefits
- £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience
- Flexibility above £60,000 for an exceptional candidate
- Discretionary performance bonus
- Up to 2 days working from home
- New purpose-built Shrewsbury office
- Established caseload and strong workflow
- Direct access to experienced Partners
- High-quality, varied work
- Excellent staff retention
- Opportunity to broaden your expertise and develop your career
The culture is collaborative and personal, with an emphasis on quality rather than simply pushing through volume. Fee targets are linked to salary and sit at just over three times salary.
For a Commercial Property Solicitor who wants good-quality work, experienced people to learn from and a stable team where they can build a long-term career, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
