Are you an experienced contentious probate partner looking for a leadership role with complete flexibility and a forward-thinking approach?

This is an opportunity to build and shape a contentious probate practice within a firm that is already established in private client work. With a strong client base and an increasing demand for complex, high-value cases—particularly those involving international and cross-border matters—this role offers the autonomy to develop the department while benefiting from the firm’s investment in cutting-edge legal technology.

With no secretarial support required due to their highly efficient case management systems, this role is suited to a partner who embraces innovation and enjoys working in a dynamic, agile environment. The firm supports both in-office and fully remote working, making it ideal for those looking for flexibility while still having access to excellent resources and a collaborative team.

We’re seeking a solicitor or legal executive with:

  • 8+ years’ PQE in contentious probate.
  • Experience handling high-value, international, and cross-border probate cases.
  • A commercial mindset with a willingness to engage in business development.
  • A strong network of contacts and plans to grow a client base.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a growing team.
  • Strong IT and legal tech proficiency—this firm operates without secretarial support.

  • Fully remote or office-based working—your choice.
  • 4-day workweek at full salary, offering an industry-leading work-life balance.
  • Full autonomy to lead and develop a new contentious probate department.
  • Access to cutting-edge legal technology and a collaborative online co-working platform.
  • A progressive, dynamic working environment with a strong focus on client care.
  • Support with professional development and business growth.
