You’ll become part of a nationally recognised Court of Protection practice managing around 1,300 deputyships and supporting approximately 2,000 clients. That scale brings exposure to sophisticated Property & Affairs matters, while giving you access to an extensive network of specialists when particularly challenging issues arise.

Despite its size, development is a major focus. You’ll have established training and promotion pathways, the opportunity to learn from experienced senior lawyers and scope to take on greater responsibility as your career develops.
The firm also combines this national platform with substantial flexibility, typically requiring only 1–2 days per week in the office, alongside a culture that has contributed to staff retention of more than 90%.

Who we’re looking for

• Court of Protection Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE, with more senior lawyers also encouraged to apply
• Strong Property & Affairs deputyship experience
• Experience handling complex Court of Protection applications and financial management
• Ability to manage a high-value caseload with appropriate independence
• Excellent technical and client-care skills
• Commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
• Genuine commitment to developing a long-term career in Court of Protection
• Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues where appropriate to your level
• Desire to continue developing within a large specialist practice

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a caseload of Property & Affairs deputyship matters
• Handling complex and high-value Court of Protection work
• Advising on sophisticated financial management issues
• Preparing and progressing Court of Protection applications
• Working alongside senior specialists on particularly complex matters
• Building strong relationships with clients, families and other professionals
• Collaborating with colleagues across a national team of more than 200 specialists
• Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate
• Continuing to deepen your technical expertise as your career progresses
