Court of Protection Paralegal
- Join one of Yorkshire’s most specialist Court of Protection teams with direct access to complex, high-value work
- Train alongside senior specialists with a genuine pathway to qualification and fee-earning
- No billing targets: focus on quality, learning and making a real difference to vulnerable clients
If you’re looking for a paralegal role where you’ll gain specialist experience rather than simply supporting from the sidelines, this is an opportunity to build a career in one of the most rewarding areas of private client law.
You’ll join a highly regarded Court of Protection team that handles complex deputyship matters, financial investigations and sensitive cases involving vulnerable individuals. From day one, you’ll work closely with experienced senior lawyers, learning through hands-on involvement rather than classroom-style training. You’ll support on high-value, often unique cases that many paralegals never have the opportunity to experience.
Over your first few months, you’ll develop a strong understanding of Court of Protection work while assisting with deputyship administration, financial assessments and court applications. As your confidence grows, you’ll begin managing your own supervised caseload, drafting legal documents, liaising with families and professionals, and developing the technical skills needed to progress into a fee-earning role.
This is a team that genuinely invests in its people. Whether your ambition is to qualify as a solicitor or become a specialist Court of Protection fee earner, you’ll receive the support, mentoring and practical experience needed to achieve your goals.
The culture is collaborative, friendly and refreshingly free from unnecessary pressure. There are no traditional billing targets, allowing the team to focus on delivering the highest standards of care and accuracy for clients who need it most.
