We’re working with a respected national firm to help them recruit a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their Manchester office.
You’ll join a well-established team of Court of Protection professionals, including solicitors and paralegals, supporting the management of property and financial affairs for clients who lack mental capacity.
You’ll work closely with a partner-level professional deputy and receive instructions on a variety of complex, sensitive matters, including those relating to clients who have suffered life-altering injuries or are living with degenerative conditions such as dementia.

Who we’re looking for
- NQ–4 PQE solicitor
- Demonstrable understanding of litigation processes and COP matters – specifically Property & Affairs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple caseloads while maintaining high client care standards
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving approach
- Empathetic, personable, and adaptable
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable clients and promoting their best interests
What you’ll be doing
- Acting on instructions from the professional deputy to manage the financial affairs of clients who lack capacity
- Handling matters arising from serious illness, injury, and degenerative conditions
- Working across a busy and varied caseload with autonomy (within client best interests)
- Liaising with internal and external professionals
- Supporting business development activity where relevant (e.g. warm lead conversion)
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
