This is a brilliant opportunity for a Newly Qualified Care Solicitor to join one of the largest family teams in the country.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Sheffield and Rotherham, managing a mixed caseload of public law children matters and supporting the wider family department.

Who we’re looking for
- Solicitor with experience or exposure to public law childcare cases
- Ability to manage your own caseload, or ready to step up with training
- Advocacy skills
- Children Law Accreditation
- Down-to-earth, collaborative and client-focused
- Open to NQ upwards, though salary brackets suit up to senior solicitor level
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a caseload of care and pre-proceedings work, plus some private children cases
- Advising on child protection, fostering, adoption, and special guardianship
- Conducting advocacy and attending PLO meetings where required
- Working autonomously while being part of a supportive 11-strong care team
- Contributing ideas for BD and client service improvements
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (up to c.£55k)
- Holiday: 30 days + bank holidays (Christmas shutdown not taken out of entitlement)
- Flexible working: 2 days from home available, with core hours 10–12 and 2–4
