Family Partner
- Help rebuild and shape a Family team rather than simply inheriting a desk
- Hybrid working with genuine flexibility and no presenteeism culture
- High-quality private family work with clear progression and real influence
This Manchester-based role offers something more involved than a typical lateral move. The Family team is going through a period of growth and change, creating genuine space for someone to come in, make an impact and help shape the department’s future direction.
Initially, you’ll take ownership of an existing privately funded caseload while embedding yourself into the team and building relationships with clients and referrers. There’s strong support around you, but also real autonomy from day one.
Longer term, the role naturally becomes broader. As the department grows, there’ll be opportunities to develop a niche, strengthen referral relationships, mentor junior lawyers and potentially step into leadership responsibilities over time.
The culture is professional, collaborative and refreshingly low-ego. People work hard, but without the pressure or presenteeism culture still common in parts of the family market. Flexibility is trusted, relationships matter, and the focus is on building sustainable long-term careers rather than burning people out.
Who we’re looking for
