OL/EL/PL Solicitor

If you’re an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Fee Earner who enjoys running litigated EL, OL and PL claims from start to finish, this is an opportunity to join a growing claimant-focused practice with plenty of quality work available.

You’ll join a nationally recognised claimant practice with Law Society PI accreditation, combining established technical standards with a modern, client-focused approach.

You’ll take ownership of an existing caseload of EL, OL and PL claims, with strong litigation exposure from the outset and the autonomy to progress matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.

The firm is continuing to invest in its claimant departments and has a strong pipeline of work, having reported more than £6 million in compensation recoveries between 2024 and 2025.

Who we’re looking for

• Solicitor or Fee Earner with at least 2 years’ OL/EL/PL experience
• SQE or CILEX qualified
• Strong knowledge of Employer’s Liability, Occupier’s Liability and Public Liability claims
• Ability to run claims independently from inception through to trial
• Strong litigation experience
• Excellent client-care skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using case management systems and legal technology
• Proclaim experience (Desired)

You’ll be well suited to the role if you’re confident taking ownership of your files, comfortable working within a busy claimant environment and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for your clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing approximately EL, OL and PL claims
• Running matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial
• Investigating liability and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence and expert reports
• Taking and reviewing witness evidence
• Handling litigated matters
• Negotiating with insurers and defendant representatives
• Advising clients on litigation strategy
• Maintaining compliance with the CPR and relevant pre-action protocols
• Delivering excellent client care throughout each claim

• Monthly bonus of 10% on billings above the monthly costs target
