Are you a Personal Injury Solicitor looking for a role where you can run your own caseload while building towards more complex, higher-value work?

This growing Manchester practice is looking for a Personal Injury Solicitor to join its established team. The position has been newly created following further growth and the firm’s successful appointment to a new contract.

You’ll manage a caseload of around 130 Personal Injury matters, primarily Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Occupiers’ Liability claims, alongside a smaller number of RTA cases. You’ll take ownership from inception through to settlement or trial, with a mixture of litigated and non-litigated work.

You’ll also benefit from working within an experienced, close-knit team with a strong emphasis on client care. The department is led by lawyers with significant Personal Injury expertise, including more than 25 years’ experience across EL, PL and serious RTA claims.

Who we’re looking for

• Solicitor or CILEX qualification (E)
• At least 2 years’ experience managing your own Personal Injury caseload (E)
• Strong EL, PL and OL experience (E)
• Ability to progress claims from inception to settlement or trial (E)
• Knowledge of RTA claims (E)
• Excellent client care and communication skills (E)
• Proactive, organised and detail-focused approach (E)
• Ideally 1–3 years’ PQE (D)
• Litigated file experience (D)
• Proclaim experience (D)

What you’ll be doing

• Managing around 130 Personal Injury files
• Handling EL, PL, OL and some RTA claims
• Running matters from inception to conclusion
• Investigating liability and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence
• Preparing schedules of loss
• Progressing litigated and non-litigated claims
• Negotiating settlements
• Liaising with experts and insurers
• Delivering empathetic client care

Salary & Benefits
