Are you an experienced Private Client Fee Earner looking for a ready-made caseload, strong earning potential and a better work-life balance?
This established North Yorkshire practice is looking for a Private Client Fee Earner to join its Ripon office. Private Client is the firm’s largest department, with a strong flow of existing work and longstanding client relationships.
You’ll step into an established caseload covering wills, probate and estate administration, LPAs, trusts, IHT and succession planning. Work ranges from straightforward matters to more complex instructions for HNW clients.
There’s no expectation to bring a following or generate your own work. Instead, you’ll be able to focus on managing your caseload, providing excellent client service and supporting an experienced team of Private Client lawyers.

What you’ll be doing
- Inheriting an established caseload
- Drafting wills
- Handling probate and estate administration
- Advising on LPAs
- Managing trusts and IHT matters
- Advising on succession planning
- Acting for longstanding local clients
- Handling HNW matters
- Supporting senior lawyers
- Providing responsive client service
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000–£40,000
- 10% bonus on anything billed over target, up to £10,000
