This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client Lawyer to join a respected and expanding private client department in Leeds.You’ll step into a pivotal role designed to sit between the Head of Department and an NQ, providing essential support while managing your own mixed caseload across both pre-death and post-death work.

You’ll be joining a friendly, flexible and supportive team that values collaboration and encourages individuals to step up, lead and shape the department’s future.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants responsibility, progression and the opportunity to grow within a well-established and reputable private client offering.

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years PQE (qualified solicitor preferred, but will consider experienced fee earners)
  • Broad private client experience across wills, trusts, LPAs, deputyships and probate
  • Confident managing your own caseload independently
  • Strong communication, organisation and risk-management skills
  • Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail
  • Team-focused, collaborative and confident supporting colleagues
  • Marketing or BD experience (desired)
  • STEP/SFE membership (desired)
  • Motivated, ambitious and keen to progress

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion
  • Draft wills, LPAs, estate planning documents and probate paperwork
  • Handle client and third-party communications with professionalism and sensitivity
  • Support juniors and assist colleagues with complex matters
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities
  • Contribute to training, knowledge-sharing and departmental growth
  • Work closely with the Head of Department, who is office-based full-time

Salary & Benefits

  • Up to £50,000 depending on experience
