Private Client Lawyer

We’re looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join a reputable Leeds-based firm.

You’ll run your own caseload of pre-death and post-death work while developing into a supervisory and leadership position as the team continues to grow.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to high-quality private client matters, receive direct mentoring from an experienced Head of Department, and play a key role in shaping the department’s future.

Who we’re looking for

• Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in private client law
• Experience across wills, trusts, probate, LPAs and deputyships
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Commercially aware and confident running own caseload
• STEP or SFE membership
• Marketing/BD experience and contentious probate knowledge
• Team player, approachable and detail-focused
• Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a caseload of private client matters independently
• Drafting wills, LPAs, and trust documentation
• Handling estate and deputyship administration
• Communicating with clients, third parties and colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with AML, billing and financial policies
• Supporting juniors and assisting colleagues with complex cases
• Contributing to BD, marketing and client development activities

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Full time, with some part-time flexibility considered
• Location: Leeds – office presence required min. 3 days per week
