If you’re a senior private client lawyer ready to take the next step in your career, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a growing department with the full support of a forward-thinking firm.

You’ll join a well-respected, multi-office London practice now actively investing in its private client offering. This firm is looking to appoint a leader who can develop the team, grow the department, and ultimately advance to partnership.

You’ll inherit a manageable caseload and be supported to bring in new work through cross-referrals and business development initiatives. You’ll have space and autonomy to shape the department, make smart hiring decisions, and define the service moving forward.

Who we’re looking for

  • 8+ years PQE as a solicitor or legal executive
  • Already operating at Senior Associate level, or ready to step into it
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
  • Strong business development record and desire to grow a client base
  • Confident with the full range of private client work: wills, LPAs, probate, and trusts
  • Court of Protection experience
  • Background in a small-to-mid-sized firm
  • Confident, personable, and commercially minded with a down-to-earth approach

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking ownership of a manageable existing caseload
  • Driving new business through marketing and BD activity
  • Laying the foundations for future hires and increased profitability
  • Progressing towards Head of Department and ultimately Partnership

Salary & Benefits

  • £75,000–£85,000, depending on experience
  • Bonus of approx. 10% of billings above target
  • 2 days remote working per week for senior staff (after 1 month office-based)
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
