Private Client Solicitor

This is a great opportunity for a Private Client solicitor to join a well-established firm in Staffordshire with a growing Private Client department and a real focus on internal progression.

In your first six months, you’ll build a solid caseload, meet initial fee-earning targets, and develop strong client relationships. By 12 months, you’ll be confidently handling a full range of Private Client matters, consistently hitting annual targets and contributing to improvements across the team. Longer term, there’s scope to become a trusted advisor for higher-value clients, support the development of junior team members, and help grow the department organically.

This role would suit someone who enjoys varied Private Client work, values collaboration, and wants to progress in a stable, supportive environment without office politics or egos.

Who we’re looking for

• Private Client Solicitor with 2+ PQE
• Broad experience across general Private Client work
• Confident in hitting the ground running with an existing caseload
• Comfortable handling wills, probate, trusts and LPAs
• Collaborative, approachable, and a good cultural fit for a close-knit team
• No ego, values teamwork and a family-friendly working environment

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a mixed Private Client caseload including:
  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and post-death tax planning
  • Trust creation and administration
  • LPAs and Court of Protection matters
• Advising clients on lifetime and post-death tax planning
• Managing files efficiently using firm systems
• Billing promptly and managing financial performance
• Cross-selling services and liaising with introducers
• Contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000 – £50,000 salary depending on experience
