Are you a Newly Qualified Private Client Solicitor or a junior lawyer looking to develop your expertise within a friendly, established team?

This well-regarded Staffordshire firm is looking for a Private Client Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE) to join its growing department in Tamworth.

You’ll handle a broad mix of Private Client matters, including wills, estate administration, trusts, LPAs and Court of Protection work, with opportunities to develop your knowledge of estate planning and tax strategies.

You’ll join an experienced team led by a Director and Head of Department, working alongside established fee earners, apprentices and dedicated support staff. The firm places a real emphasis on developing and promoting its people internally, with no rigid progression framework or fixed ceiling on your career.

The culture is collaborative, down-to-earth and family-friendly. It’s a smaller practice where people work together, share knowledge and focus on delivering excellent client service without unnecessary hierarchy or egos.

Who we’re looking for

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor, NQ–2 PQE (E)
• General Private Client experience, including a relevant training seat for NQs (E)
• Good grounding in wills, probate and estate administration (E)
• Ability to take responsibility for a caseload appropriate to your experience (E)
• Strong client care and communication skills (E)
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware (E)
• Collaborative approach and positive team mentality (E)
• Trusts and tax planning experience (D)
• LPA and Court of Protection experience (D)

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a varied Private Client caseload
• Drafting wills and advising on estate planning
• Administering estates and handling probate
• Advising on lifetime and post-death tax planning
• Creating and administering trusts
• Handling LPAs and Court of Protection matters
• Maintaining accurate files and billing records
• Building strong client relationships
• Liaising with introducers and other departments
• Contributing to team meetings and improvements

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience
