This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and well-established private client department in Chester city centre.

The role has arisen due to a replacement hire, with the current solicitor having successfully built up a strong caseload of private client work, meaning there is plenty of existing work ready for someone to take over immediately.

You’ll join a supportive and collaborative team handling a broad range of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration and trusts work, while also working closely with the director at the office. The environment offers genuine autonomy alongside support where needed, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their career within a stable and growing department.

There is also significant scope for progression and future growth, with the potential to help expand the team further over time.

Who we’re looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience handling private client matters
  • Experience with wills, probate and estate administration
  • Comfortable managing files independently
  • Organised and proactive approach to work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Someone who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a varied private client caseload
  • Advising clients on wills, probate and estate administration matters
  • Handling trusts work where appropriate
  • Assisting the director with departmental matters
  • Delivering excellent standards of client care
  • Working independently while collaborating with the wider team
  • Helping support the continued growth of the private client department
