Private Client Solicitor
Hot Job
- Bonus of 10–20% on billings above target — without unrealistic expectations
- Clear pathway to Head of Department with genuine influence over the team’s future
- Complex HNW private client work, not volume files or repetitive drafting
For experienced private client lawyers, the challenge is rarely finding another caseload. It’s finding a role where the work stays interesting, progression feels realistic and you’re trusted to help shape something longer term.
This Greater Manchester-based opportunity offers exactly that. The team is growing steadily and now needs someone senior who can step into a high-quality existing caseload while also helping drive the department forward over the next few years.
The work itself is varied, technical and genuinely high calibre. You’ll advise high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on trusts, estate administration, inheritance tax planning and wider succession matters — with the autonomy to manage relationships properly rather than rushing through volume work.
In the short term, the focus will be on taking ownership of an established caseload and becoming a key technical presence within the team. Longer term, there’s a very clear route into leadership for someone who wants it. There’s no glass ceiling here and no need to wait for somebody senior to move on before progression becomes possible.
The environment is professional but down-to-earth, with a sensible approach to targets, flexibility and development. It’s a team that values technical quality and long-term client relationships over aggressive billing culture.
