Private Family Partner
Hot Job
- 4-day week on full pay, fully flexible and mostly remote working
- No BD, no advocacy, just focus on fee earning and quality work
- Fast-track progression to Team Leader or Partner in a growing Birmingham team
This Birmingham-based role (with minimal office attendance) is part of a planned expansion into the region, with multiple hires to build out a brand-new Family offering. You won’t be walking into an established structure, you’ll be part of shaping it, with strong backing from an already successful national team.
From day one, the focus is clear: convert incoming enquiries into work and run a high-quality privately funded caseload. The marketing engine is already in place, generating a steady stream of divorce-ready clients, meaning you’re not expected to network or bring work in yourself. Within your first six months, you’ll build up a manageable caseload while establishing yourself as part of the firm’s presence in Birmingham.
As you progress, the role opens up. You can continue focusing purely on fee earning, or step towards leadership, building a team, mentoring others and helping shape how the Birmingham office develops. Within two years, the aim is to have a fully established team locally, with clear progression routes into Team Leader or Partner positions for those who want it.
The culture is built around flexibility and trust. Most of the team work remotely, with collaboration happening through regular video calls and shared case discussions. It suits lawyers who want autonomy, balance and a modern way of working, without losing the support of a wider team.
If you want high-quality family work, strong earning potential and genuine control over how you work, this is a very different proposition to a traditional firm.
