This is a unique opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to take on a senior leadership role at an ambitious start-up that’s redefining how probate is delivered.

With a strong pipeline of funding and ambitious growth plans, the firm are now looking for an experienced solicitor to establish and lead their legal function as part of the founding team.

You’ll not only take ownership of the legal side, but also influence product development, strategy, and client experience. Acting as Head of Legal, you’ll be the technical expert on probate and estate administration, ensure compliance, and help shape the future of the business.

Who we’re looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ PQE in Private Client, including probate and estate administration
  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, and post-death matters
  • Experience with compliance and SRA regulatory responsibilities
  • Commercially minded, ambitious, and comfortable in a leadership role
  • Resilient and entrepreneurial, with a willingness to embrace start-up culture

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the legal function as Head of Legal
  • Manage probate and estate administration caseloads as the technical lead
  • Advise colleagues, clients, and the business on probate and estate law
  • Translate legal requirements into technical features to help shape the company’s platform
  • Contribute to growth strategy and decision-making at leadership level
  • Mentor and guide the team as it scales, with opportunities to recruit and supervise in future

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £60k DOE
  • Equity: Founding member stock options in line with early-stage market standards
