This role is ideal for an experienced Court of Protection solicitor who enjoys the technical side of the work but also wants greater involvement in mentoring and supporting a team.
The firm is looking for a senior-level COP solicitor to manage their own caseload while helping supervise and develop the wider department.
The work is entirely Property & Affairs Court of Protection, with a strong and established client base. The environment is collaborative rather than hierarchical, and while the firm doesn’t operate a Partner structure, there’s a clear progression route through to Director level.
This would suit someone who wants high-quality COP work, a strong team culture and the opportunity to play a visible role within a growing department, without sacrificing work-life balance.
Who we’re looking for
- Experienced Court of Protection Solicitor, ideally around 10+ PQE
- Strong background in Property & Affairs deputyship work
- Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
- Technically strong with excellent client care skills
- Organised, approachable and collaborative
- Someone who enjoys team development as well as fee earning
What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own Court of Protection caseload
- Supporting with supervision and development of the wider team
- Acting as a Director of the Trust Corporation
- Advising clients, families and professionals on deputyship matters
- Supporting the continued growth and stability of the department
