Court of Protection Associate Solicitor
Hot Job
- Work on complex, high-value Court of Protection matters, not just routine files
- Hybrid working with strong support from specialist Directors and caseworker teams
- Bonus-rich package including annual firm bonus + individual performance incentives
This Manchester-based role sits within a specialist Court of Protection firm known for handling complex, often sensitive matters with a high level of care. You’ll be joining a team with a strong pipeline of work, meaning you can focus on developing your expertise rather than worrying about where the next case is coming from.
In your first few months, you’ll take ownership of a Property & Affairs caseload, supported by experienced caseworkers who handle much of the day-to-day financial administration. You’ll also work closely with senior lawyers on more complex files, giving you exposure to high-value and often contested matters early on.
As you settle in, the role becomes more varied and technically interesting. You’ll be advising families, managing relationships with care teams and professionals, and progressing applications through the Court. There’s a strong emphasis on quality and client care, particularly given the nature of the client base, individuals who have lost capacity and require long-term support.
Longer term, there’s clear scope to progress within the team. The firm continues to grow and promotes from within, so whether you’re looking to deepen your technical expertise or move towards Associate level, there’s a clear path available.
The culture is specialist, collaborative and genuinely client-focused. You’ll be working alongside people who are deeply experienced in this area, in an environment that values precision, empathy and doing things properly.
