Are you a Court of Protection Solicitor looking for a manageable caseload, strong support and the flexibility to work largely from home?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist Court of Protection team where lawyers are given the time and space to do high-quality work. You’ll manage around 15 matters, predominantly involving clients referred through Clinical Negligence work, alongside some panel and elderly client matters.
You’ll be supported by experienced senior solicitors and paralegals, giving you access to guidance when you need it without sacrificing ownership of your caseload. The smaller team structure also means there is genuine scope to progress without waiting for someone above you to move on.
Who we’re looking for
- Court of Protection Solicitor, NQ–5 PQE (E)
- Grade B or C level (E)
- Ability to manage your own caseload (E)
- Court of Protection experience involving Clinical Negligence clients (E)
- Strong client care and communication skills (E)
- Collaborative approach (E)
- Full driving licence and ability to attend client visits (E)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing around 15 Court of Protection matters
- Handling Clinical Negligence-referred COP work
- Working on panel and elderly client matters
- Attending client visits
- Working closely with paralegal support
- Collaborating with senior solicitors
- Contributing towards team targets
- Building your technical COP expertise

You’ll initially spend more time in the South Manchester office while training and getting to know the team. NQ Solicitors should expect around 3 office days per week during the six-month probation period. More experienced lawyers can move to greater home working sooner once established.
Afterwards, the role can be largely home-based, with attendance for monthly team meetings and client visits as required.
