This is an exceptional opportunity for a Private Children Solicitor to join one of the largest and most highly regarded specialist children law teams in the North West.
The firm has built a national reputation for handling complex and high-profile private children matters, acting for high-net-worth individuals, professionals and international families on sensitive and challenging cases. Unlike many family law roles, this opportunity offers the chance to focus purely on private children work, without the split into divorce or finance matters.
You’ll join a collaborative, ambitious and supportive boutique family law firm that combines elite-level work with a genuinely people-focused culture. Working closely with experienced Partners and senior specialists, you’ll gain exposure to complex matters from an early stage while developing your own autonomous caseload and profile within the market.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about private children work and wants to deepen their expertise in a high-performing environment where progression is genuinely merit-based.
Who we’re looking for
- Qualified Family Solicitor with experience in private children matters
- Junior to mid-level solicitor looking to specialise further in private children work
- Confident managing a caseload independently or ready to step into greater autonomy
- Strong advocacy and court attendance experience
- Excellent client care and emotional intelligence
- Collaborative and team-focused approach
- Ambitious, resilient and motivated to develop within a specialist environment
- Candidates with mixed family caseloads will be considered if committed to specialising in private children law
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a caseload of exclusively private children matters
- Supporting Partners on complex, high-value and international cases
- Representing clients at court and attending hearings
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Advising clients on sensitive and complex family matters
- Progressing cases from instruction through to conclusion
- Working collaboratively with the wider specialist children team
- Contributing towards billing targets and team performance
