With demand continuing to grow, you’ll have a varied caseload from the outset, while benefiting from the support and expertise of experienced Private Client lawyers across the wider team.

You’ll be given the time and support to settle in and develop at the right pace. Initially, you’ll manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision, before progressing towards greater autonomy and more complex matters as your experience grows.

There’s a real emphasis on development here, with excellent mentoring, external training and support towards qualifications such as STEP. For someone ambitious about building a long-term career in Private Client, there’s plenty of scope to progress.

Who we’re looking for

• An experienced qualified solicitor
• Strong experience across wills and probate
• Comfortable managing matters with a reasonable level of autonomy
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong organisation and file management skills
• A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
• Someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team
• Exposure to LPAs, Court of Protection, deputyship applications, trusts or more complex Private Client work would be advantageous
• Ambitious lawyers interested in further development, including STEP, are particularly encouraged

What you’ll be doing

• You’ll manage a varied Private Client caseload, including wills, probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and general estate planning matters.
• Depending on your existing experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on Court of Protection matters, deputyship applications, trusts and increasingly complex Private Client work.
• Alongside managing your files and delivering an excellent service to clients, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the wider Private Client team, contribute to business development and play a part in the department’s continued growth.
• As you develop, the aim is for you to become an established and trusted member of the team, handling increasingly sophisticated work and continuing to progress professionally.
