This is a standout opportunity for a solid Private Family Associate to join a Tier 1 Legal 500 family team in Manchester at a key moment of change and growth.
The team is looking to appoint a strong associate who can step in, support partners and senior associates, and run their own high-quality caseload alongside assisted work.
The work is consistently high value, sophisticated and client-led, with no requirement to generate your own work.
Who we’re looking for
- Associate-level family solicitor, ideally around 5 PQE
- Strong experience in high-net-worth private family work
- Comfortable advising clients with assets from £5m+
- Confident in managing your own caseload alongside assisted partner work
- Willing and able to supervise and mentor a trainee on a 1-to-1 basis
- Supportive, collaborative approach with confidence to work autonomously
- No requirement to bring work or hit BD targets (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own caseload of high-value private family matters
- Assisting partners and senior associates on complex HNW cases
- Supervising and mentoring a dedicated trainee, including reviews and sign-offs
- Working closely within a senior, specialist team handling exclusively high-quality work
- Benefiting from strong internal referrals via a large in-house marketing function
- Hitting a clear, achievable billing target of 6 chargeable hours per day
