Residential Conveyancer
- Residential Conveyancer role with genuine autonomy and long-term career trajectory
- Full residential caseload with no billing-led culture, quality and client care come first
- Opportunity to progress to partner-level within 2 years
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a small, ambitious and entrepreneurial firm operating out of its Stockport office.
You’ll step into a role where you can take full ownership of files from instruction through to completion, supported by a dedicated secretary and assistant. The firm is looking for someone reliable, proactive and client-focused, someone who wants to do conveyancing properly and be part of shaping the future of the Macclesfield office.
There is a clear long-term vision here. The right person won’t just “do the job”, they’ll become the go-to conveyancer in the office and, over time, play a key role in growing and leading the conveyancing function locally.
Who we’re looking for
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive
- Able to manage a full residential conveyancing file independently from instruction to completion
- Ideally 4+ years’ experience in residential property work
- Strong background in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Comfortable supervising and working alongside a secretary and assistant
- Confident building relationships with local agents and maintaining a strong local reputation
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload end-to-end
- Handling sales, purchases, leasehold matters, remortgages, transfers of equity and occasional new build/unregistered titles
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, agents and third parties
- Supervising and collaborating with a secretary and assistant based in Stockport
- Working closely with Directors and the wider conveyancing team across offices
- Playing an active role in office culture, reliability and client confidence
There is no billing-driven pressure here, success is measured by file progression, client experience and dependability.
