Residential Conveyancing Solicitor
- Take over an established conveyancing department, not building from scratch
- Clear route to Head of Department within 2 years
- Low-pressure, relationship-led environment with no corporate volume targets
This Altrincham-based role is ideal for a conveyancer who wants more than just another caseload. You’ll be stepping into an established department with a steady flow of work and a clear succession plan already mapped out.
From day one, you’ll pick up a full residential caseload and be trusted to run it independently. There’s support around you, but this isn’t a hand-holding environment, you’ll be expected to take ownership early, communicate openly, and build trust with both clients and colleagues.
Over the first 6–12 months, the focus is on consistency: getting up to speed quickly, building your billings, and embedding yourself into the team. Beyond that, the role becomes more strategic. You’ll start to take on more responsibility, informally support junior colleagues, and position yourself as the natural successor to lead the department.
By the two-year mark, the expectation is that you’re ready to step into a Head of Department role, with the autonomy, influence and credibility that comes with it.
The culture is open, social and refreshingly straightforward. Client relationships drive the work, so communication matters, picking up the phone, keeping clients updated, and building trust is central to how the firm operates. It’s a place where people tend to stay long-term, supported by an approachable leadership team and a genuine lack of internal politics.
