Private Client Fee Earner

Apply now
  • Walk into an existing caseload from day one, no slow build or BD pressure
  • Varied role across multiple offices, no two days feel the same
  • Supportive, down-to-earth team with real flexibility around life outside work

This Leeds-based role (with travel across nearby offices) is ideal for a private client fee earner who wants to get stuck into good-quality work straight away. The team is busy, growing and needs someone who can relieve pressure from senior lawyers from the outset, not someone who needs months of supervision.

In your first few months, you’ll take ownership of a wills and LPA-heavy caseload, building relationships internally and getting to grips with how the wider team operates across locations. You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, with support there when needed, but no unnecessary oversight.

By 12 months, you’ll be running your own caseload confidently while starting to get involved in more complex matters, trusts, estates and higher-value work. You’ll also begin to build your own client relationships and contribute to the team’s presence across offices.

Longer term, this is a role where you can shape your own path. Whether that’s developing a niche, growing a client base or becoming a key figure across multiple offices, there’s genuine scope to grow with the firm as it continues to expand.

The culture is friendly and grounded, people work hard, but there’s flexibility when life happens. It’s a team that values reliability, client care and collaboration over rigid processes or hierarchy.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience managing a private client caseload independently
  • Strong experience drafting wills and LPAs
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal
  • Strong client care and communication skills
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable travelling between offices when required
  • Outgoing and team-oriented
  • Exposure to trusts and estates work (Desired)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a caseload of wills and LPAs from day one
  • Assisting on trusts, estates and more complex private client matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting senior lawyers with technical work where needed
  • Contributing to business development and networking activity
  • Working across multiple offices in Yorkshire
  • Ensuring high standards of client care and file management

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Existing caseload provided, no need to generate work initially
  • Flexible working hours with understanding around personal commitments
  • Typically 1 day per week working from home
  • Varied, non-repetitive role across multiple offices
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Strong long-term progression opportunities as the firm grows
