Private Family Senior Associate/Partner

A highly respected family law boutique in South Manchester is seeking a Private Family Solicitor with at least six years of experience to join them as a Senior Associate or Partner.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to take a supported step up to Partner immediately or in the short-term. You won’t need to bring with you a following of work, and you won’t be expected to manage a full team.

Due to organic growth and an influx of work, the firm needs someone to come in and handle an existing caseload and bring additional expertise and gravitas to the close-knit team.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop business development skills to help support the continued growth of the firm.

On offer is a nurturing environment and a clear progression roadmap, with opportunities for progression and further development. The position also allows for flexible working hours, with the option to work from home two days per week or a reduced-hours week over four days, for those who would prefer to work part-time.

The team culture is described as “warm, open and transparent”, with no games or politics, and high performance is recognized with a discretionary awarded bonus twice per year. Secretarial support is also available, which is becoming rare in the current market. Team activities include lunch clubs, book club, and spa weekends.

The successful candidate will manage a reasonable caseload of mixed private family matters for a HNW Cheshire client base. Most of the team’s work is generated via reputation, referrer relationships, and word-of-mouth referrals.
This role would suit someone whose development is currently blocked at their current firm, wants to work for a family law boutique, or who would simply prefer a more pivotal position in a smaller team.
