Private Client Solicitor - Macclesfield
Our client is looking for a private client solicitor with over five years’ PQE experience to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will be STEP qualified, but the firm will also support STEP qualification for the right candidate.
Working directly for their head of private client, who has been with the firm for over 10 years and is extremely well-regarded, as well as being very personable, you will develop your technical and commercial skills quickly within this role.
This South Manchester firm has a long and stable history in the personal legal services market. While it has built its success on traditional values, it very much embraces modern ways of working and offers up to three days working from home.
If social impact is something you strive for, this Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners recommended firm are recognised, in particular, for the work they do with the elderly and vulnerable. The firm has a clear sense of direction and vision.
The firm has recently merged with a national firm with a strong sense of social purpose and will now benefit from a huge injection of additional investment. With only a handful of solicitors in the team currently, this is a very exciting time to join and rise up the ladder as the team grows in size and stature as part of a private client team straddling two regional offices.
If progression is important to you, this firm is well-known for home-growing its talent and those at partner-level have made their way up through the ranks internally. As soon as you join you will be put on a clear and transparent progression plan. They are big on supporting their people through external qualifications and becoming accredited in their area of choice, including STEP qualification.
Those coming from full-service firms – where, let’s face it, the commercial areas of the business usually take the spotlight – will appreciate the singular focus on private client services, where every bit of investment is into securing the success of the firm in this arena.
This is a firm that truly believes that people thrive most when they are relaxed and happy. Therefore, their focus is not on targets and billable hours, but delivering top-quality work to their client base of HNWs and business owners. Asa result of this refreshing approach, they have a fantastic employee retention rate and only have to recruit when the firm is growing.
You’ll get lots of exposure to clients through face-to-face meetings, which will really enable you to hone those commercial skills needed to reach the senior levels of the legal sector. The team also has a strong referral network, including IFA and accountancy contacts, and will gain an additional flow of work via the recent merger – so there’s no need to worry about bringing a following or building up your own caseload from scratch.
Fee earners are fully supported by a solid and experienced administration team, and an in-house practice manager ensures the smooth running of all operations. The candidates we’ve placed here have all said that they were won over as soon as they met the team.
The firm is also extremely family-friendly and will accommodate part-time hours where possible.
